For English names we map the same five element groups onto Latin initial sounds: vowel-initial names take Water (in Korean a vowel syllable is written with ㅇ), F and V take Earth, Z and X take Metal. The chart behind them: the Day Pillar runs on the Julian Day Number sexagenary cycle (anchored to a verified almanac date), Year & Month Pillars are judged against an ephemeris-computed solar-term boundary table (1919–2027) — not calendar approximations.
